6:00 a.m. PST, February 19, 2025, Unceded Xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Territories / Burnaby, B.C. – WUXLY has donated 100 units of winter outerwear, including parkas, jackets, and other clothing items to help support the needs of displaced Ukrainians in Canada under the Canada-Ukraine authorization for emergency travel measures (CUAET).

The community investment will be distributed in Ontario through the Canadian humanitarian response program, Operation Ukrainian Safe Haven-Operation Havre de Paix pour les Ukrainiens (OUSH-OHPU). Created in 2022 by the Affiliation of Multicultural Societies and Service Agencies of BC (AMSSA) in partnership with Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), OUSH-OHPU operates a national secretariat of over 100 partners to support Ukrainians across Canada who are fleeing the war in Europe.

“Donations like these go a long way in supporting individuals in need. Displaced Ukrainians, like many newcomers to Canada, continue to face hardships and have limited supports. Partnerships with companies like WUXLY are able to make a tremendous impact for so many families and can make all the difference in helping a family through these winter months.” – Sarosh Rizvi, Executive Director, OUSH-OHPU

This donation will enable OUSH-OHPU to collaborate with settlement service providers to support Ukrainian individuals and families find warmth during the winter season.

“At WUXLY, giving back to the community is fundamental to who we are. We believe it’s our responsibility to support those in need, particularly during difficult times. Our commitment to making a positive impact is deeply embedded in our values, and we’re honored to contribute to the well-being of displaced Ukrainians in Canada. We’ve been supporting this cause since the beginning of the Ukraine conflict, and we will continue to do so in the future. This donation is a testament to our dedication to providing warmth, comfort, and hope for those facing hardships.” – The WUXLY Team

Canada has also created the Canadian Industry for Ukraine donation portal, where Canadian businesses can make contributions and get updates on a list of priority items required for Ukrainian settlement efforts.
