Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) Survey

In October 2023, in collaboration with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and the Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC), Operation Ukrainian Safe Haven- Opération havre de paix pour les Ukrainiens (OUSH-OHPU) developed a survey for CUAET visa holders.

The primary objectives include revealing the demographics structure of CUAET visa holders, gaining insights into the intentions of those who haven’t yet arrived in Canada, and estimating their anticipated arrival patterns. Additionally, the survey aims to provide a snapshot of displaced Ukrainians in Canada, assessing their immediate needs, observing settlement trends, and evaluating the effectiveness of the settlement services provided.

The survey was distributed via IRCC’s push notification system to randomly chosen approximately 500,000 CUAET visa holder individuals regardless of whether they have landed in Canada or not.
